Located just a mile down the road from Timberholm, Stowe Bowl offers six modern indoor bowling lanes with excellent food and a full bar. We recommend calling ahead to book a bowling lane during busy seasons. From April-October, enjoy a round at Stowe Bowl’s 18-hole mini golf course which boasts a unique and realistic uneven green design. Local tip: the 16th hole offers a free game if you get a hole-in-one. Hit it to the right of the rock just far enough to go down the slope and it has a good chance of funneling in.
A new addition to Stowe, Gold Rush Arcade is located on Main Street in downtown Stowe next to the community church. Open noon to 8 p.m. most days, Gold Rush is a great spot for affordable family fun all year round. Despite its modest size, they have a wide variety of arcade games and prizes. Local tip, The Gold Rush arcade is located near the end of the Stowe quiet path. Park at the Swimming Hole on Weeks Hill Road and walk about a half mile to the arcade for some beautiful scenery and a bit of exercise.
With a climbing wall, two Olympic-style trampolines, parkour areas, and expert coaches, Elevate is truly a unique facility, providing fun and challenging options for all ages. They offer open gym times in the evenings, adult fitness classes, kid camps in the summer, and expert coaching for action sports and parkour. Just a half mile from Timberholm, all adventurous spirits should check out Elevate. Looking for an affordable and fun birthday party for kids? The Stowe Recreation Path is a paved 8 mile path that winds its way from downtown Stowe up to Topnotch Stables, passing by delicious stops for lunch, open fields, gorgeous mountain views, and bridges over gentle rivers. While its an excellent place for walking and running, biking is recommended so that you can complete the full length of the trail. Bike rental is available at both ends of the path through AJ’s Ski and Ride (downtown) & Mountain Ops.
Need a nighttime activity for the family or a way to pass a rainy afternoon? Stowe Cinema is a classic small-town movie theater showing all the newest releases. This cozy spot is located off the mountain road about two miles from Timberholm.
The Spruce Peak area has multiple activities for all seasons such as rock climbing, children’s ski and snowboard lessons, tours, wine tastings, live music, and an outdoor ice rink in the winter. Ice skating is free, but you will need to rent skates unless you bring your own. Check their website below to see what is in season.
