Dining at Timberholm

Is breakfast included? Continental or full breakfast?

Yes! A full, homemade breakfast is included with your stay each morning and is served buffet-style in the dining area. We are renowned for our five-star breakfasts, so come hungry!

Breakfast is served from 8 am to 10 am April through December. January through March, breakfast is served from 7 am to 9 am.

Yes. Please note any allergies, dietary needs, or preferences in the Notes section of your reservation. You can also email your dietary requests to info@timberholm.com at least 72 hours in advance to give our innkeeper time to accommodate you.

Sure! Each additional breakfast guest is $35. We require 48 hours notice of additional breakfast guests.

No. Breakfast is served buffet style in the Great Room dining area.

Yes! Visit our complimentary 24/7 drink station for self-service coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in the dining area anytime. We have candy available for purchase in the Great Room on the bookshelf. Cash and Venmo accepted. Venmo: Timberholm Inn (@timberholm)

No, we only serve breakfast. Complimentary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are available throughout the day, and snacks are available to purchase in the Great Room.

Of course! We have a guest refrigerator in the basement Lounge and a microwave in the dining area for guest use.

We have a microwave in the Great Room dining area and a refrigerator in the basement Lounge for guest use. The rooms with mini refrigerators are Linden (Room 1), Aspen (Room 7), Tamarack (Suite 1), and Sugar Maple (Suite 2).

Location, Parking, and Transportation

Where are you located?

Our address is 452 Cottage Club Rd Stowe, VT 05672. We are located in Stowe, about 45 minutes from the Burlington International Airport in Vermont.

We have free parking directly in front of the inn for your convenience. Our lot is small, so please be conscious of other guests when parking.
In the winter, we have a plow service. They try not to block cars in, but we have shovels available for guests to use on the porch if you need to dig yourself out.

Yes, we have a small storage shed near the hot tub that can be accessed from the basement Lounge or around the building.

Uber and Lyft are not commonly available in Stowe. For taxi service, we recommend Patriot Transport at 802-272-1633 or Sub Zero Taxi at 802-595-9640.
Stowe offers a free winter shuttle bus from the end of November to the beginning of April. The bus provides access to Stowe Mountain Resort, as well as dining, shopping, and other activities and attractions throughout town. The closest stop to Timberholm is just a 5-minute walk away.

Uber and Lyft are not commonly available in Stowe. For taxi service, we recommend Patriot Transport at 802-272-1633 or Sub Zero Taxi at 802-595-9640. Depending on your itinerary, renting a car may be easier and potentially cheaper.

Reservations, Check-In, and Check-Out

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is 3 pm

Check-out is by 11 am on your departure day.

We do not offer early check-in, but we can hold your luggage behind the front desk until check-in time if you’d like to start your day in Stowe.

We do not offer late checkout. We are a small, locally run inn and need time to clean and reset the rooms for our next guests.

No worries! If you’re arriving after 10pm, please email us at info@timberholm.com to let us know. We offer an easy, contactless self check-in process that accommodates any arrival time:
As you arrive, scan the QR code on the desk in the entryway and complete check-in.
Locate your welcome packet on the desk with your reservation number on it. Your room key will be inside. Rooms 1-6 are down the hallway on the first floor (1, 3, 5 on your left and 2, 4, 6 on your right). Room 7 and both suites are upstairs.

Our innkeeper may be busy working around the inn when you arrive. If that’s the case, please scan the QR code at the front desk to check in and grab your welcome packet with the reservation number from the desk. Help yourself to your room and we will catch up with you at breakfast! Rooms 1-6 are down the hallway on the first floor (1, 3, 5 on your left and 2, 4, 6 on your right). Room 7 and both suites are upstairs.

Please email us at info@timberholm.com or call us at 802-253-7603 ext. 1 to let us know about your cancellation as soon as possible. Cancellations made 14 days or more from check-in will incur a $50 fee. Cancellations made fewer than 14 days from check-in forfeit the deposit of one night’s stay plus tax. Any refund will be credited back to the card we have on file. It may take 7-10 days to credit back to your card.

If you have reserved through a third party, such as Expedia, hotels.com, or Airbnb, you must cancel through them directly. If you have trouble, please give us a call.

Recreation, Dining, and Shopping

How far away are you from Stowe Village?

We are about a 7-minute drive to Stowe’s main shopping and dining area. If you’d rather walk or bike to the village, you can access the Stowe Recreation Path, a beautiful greenway that will take you into the heart of town, directly from Timberholm’s property.

We are a 4-minute drive to the mountain. Check out our resources for the best skiing in Stowe.

Stowe offers a free winter shuttle bus from the end of November to the beginning of April that provides access to Stowe Mountain Resort as well as dining, shopping and other activities and attractions throughout town. The closest stop to Timberholm is just a 5 minute walk away.

The closest restaurant is the Blue Donkey near the end of our road, but we are 3 miles or less from all dining and shopping in Stowe. Check out our Eat and Drink recommendations.

Inn Amenities

Do you have a hot tub? Is it open all the time?

Yes, there is a hot tub at Timberholm Inn and it is open year-round. 

The wood for the firepit is under the back porch. You can find a lighter in the bin near the firepit. Wood and a lighter for the fireplace in the Great Room is next to the fireplace inside. Please follow all fire safety rules.

Yes, we have hosted many types of events! Timberholm can accommodate a maximum of 23 guests for lodging, 30 for an indoor event, and 75 for an outdoor event. Learn more here.

Inn Policies

Is there a charge for extra people?

Our rooms are based on double occupancy, and suites are based on four people per room. Additional guests may stay for $25 per person. Please call or email for availability, as some rooms cannot accommodate extra guests due to space.

Yes, children of all ages are welcome! Please be respectful of other guests during quiet hours and be aware that we have a hot tub and fire pit on site that could be dangerous for young children.

No, we do not allow pets. However, if you are renting the whole inn, please give us a call, as we may be able to accommodate pets in certain instances.

Timberholm Inn is a historic building originally constructed in 1949. While it has been improved and updated throughout the years, noise travels easily through the original interior walls. Sound machines are provided in each room to help drown out any excess noise.

We do not currently offer discounts.

Yes! There is a gorgeous view of the Worchester Mountains from the back of our property. Our Willow Room and both Tamarack and Sugar Maple Suites offer mountain views.
