The Timberholm team is obsessed with the New York Times’ recent article “36 Hours in Stowe, Vermont.” We love it when our mountain town gets the recognition it deserves as one of the most beautiful places to visit and explore year-round.
While we agree with each and every recommendation in the Times piece, there are a few more recommendation gems that only true Stowe locals can provide, especially if you’re visiting during the off-season. Read on for our recommendations for what to do, what to eat, and where to stay during your November Stowe getaway.
Stick season, also known as shoulder season, is the time of year when the leaves have fallen but there’s not yet snow. The term has recently entered the cultural zeitgeist thanks to the help of indie star, Noah Kahan, a Vermont native himself, and his album, Stick Season.
Stick season takes place from November to mid December in Vermont. While you won’t be able to leaf-peep, there are definitely benefits to visiting during this time of year.
